ENCOUNTER WEEKEND RETREATS

What is an Encounter?
We believe that the first step in becoming a disciple is to be "free indeed." Jesus said: "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will SET YOU FREE" (John 8:31-32 NIV).

An Encounter Retreat is a weekend short course in freedom - freedom from habits, bondages, bitterness, wrong thoughts, and past mistakes. At the Encounter, the Lord sets the captive and enslaved free through the power of the Cross.

The Encounter Retreat generally starts on a friday evening and goes through Sunday afternoon.  The participants are then bused to the Celebratons Service at the church building where we hold regular Sunday Services.

The Encounter Retreat is the first step of what we call the "year of training" that we ask each new member of our church to go through to be freed to cell leadership ministry.

It is the first practical step to our commitment to make every member a minister.
