::The Purposes &
Goals of Fruit of the Vine::
Proverbs 29:18 says, "Where
there is no vision, (instruction in God's truth) the people
perish…"
- A mission statement is a
definition of the key objectives in a ministry. What we intend
to do.
- A vision statement is an
explanation of the specific direction and activities that a
ministry will follow and use to fulfill the mission. How we
intend to do it.
Our mission is based on two things:
- The Great Commandment: Matthew
22:37 says "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy
heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind."
- The Great Commission: Matthew
28:19,20 says: "Go ye therefore, and make disciples,
baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy
Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have
commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end
of the world. Amen."
As you can see there are two parts:
A relationship and a work. Jesus' discourse in John 15 make it clear
that our work is wholly dependent on our relationship with him.
Therefore the work cannot be done without the relationship and the
relationship can't exist without the work.
Mission:
The mission of Fruit of the Vine
ministries can be summarized in five key verbs:

- the Lord God and our neighbor
- 02: Reach
- the unsaved for Christ
- 03:
Care
- for the flock
- 04: Form
- disciples of Christ
- 05:
Plant
- new churches
Vision:
To raise up a vibrant New Testament
Christian Community through the un-compromised preaching of the
Word, the untiring commitment to discipleship through servant
leadership, melodious praise and worship, and loving community
service.
To lead the multitudes of
spiritually hungry and thirsty souls in Macapá to a vital
relationship with the risen Lord Jesus Christ by the ministry of his
Holy Spirit.
To cultivate significant
relationships with the unresponsive and disinterested sinners in our
community and tirelessly love them into the kingdom while engaging
in spiritual warfare for the salvation of every soul that we meet.
